With the fixture facing lens-down, measure the distance between the hole of the Mounting Clip to the edge of the fixture’s frame.
A. PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER
B. DRYWALL PLUGS AND SCREWS
C. AIRCRAFT CABLE
1’x4’ and 2’ 4’ = 3 cables
2’ x 2’ = 2 cables
D. FLAT PANEL
E. DRILL WITH 3/16 DRILL BIT
F. 5/64 ALLEN KEY
Measure the distance between the bottom and top Mounting Clips and find the center. Note the center point. Repeat STEP 1 and STEP 2 for the clips on the opposite end of the fixture.
This is required if you are installing a 1’ x 4’ or 2’ x 4’ panel. Measure the distance between the hole of the outer Mounting Clip to the hole of the center Mounting Clip. Note the distance.
Take the cable connected to the Mounting Canopy and push down on the Gripper to release the cable from the Gripper. Repeat for all wires in your kit.
Using the measurements you noted from measuring the edge to clip, center point (and clip to clip if installing a 1’ x 4’ or 2’ x 4’), mark the appropriate areas on your ceiling. Each Mounting Canopy has requires three screws. Use the 3/16 drill bit to make pilot holes, insert the drywall plugs and screw in the Mounting Canopies.
Bend the Mounting Clip upwards so that it is perpendicular to the fixture. Hook one end of the cable through the hole on the clip. Hook the other end of the cable to the Mounting Clip on the opposite side of the fixture.
With both Mounting Clips hooked, the Gripper can be held up to test proper fastening. Refer to image for correct installation. Repeat Step 6 for the other Mounting Clips on the fixture.
Take the cable attached to the Mounting Canopy, push down on the Gripper, and slide the cable through.
While pushing down on the Gripper, pull the cable until the desired height is achieved. Repeat Steps 8 and 9 for all Mounting Canopies.
Once you have achieved the desired hanging height tighten the screw located on the bottom of each Gripper with a 5/64 Allen key to secure the cables. The installation is now complete.
